After seeing your response, I wondered if Windows2000 had installed anything additional
concerning the boot sequence and began to research this possibility. I believe now
that the issue is with "boot.ini" which currently looks as follows:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server"
/fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server"
/fastdetect
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
I believe that the two "multi" entries under [operating systems] are the two
copies (I know, two...I goofed) of 2000 Server that I installed. I'm assuming that
removing these entries will resolve the issue? Or does "boot.ini" need to go altogether?
