Oh, Man ! I am going crazy trying to handle this thing, too. I am running WIn XP
Pro and the full Office XP Pro - both fully up to date, service pack-wise. I have
the AcbControl reg key installed as per the KB article, as well
I installed IBM ViaVoice X and it works PERFECTLY except in Outlook 2002, where it
insists on turning on the clipboard - and I can't even tell what aspect of the dication
process is doing it (i.e. the dictation or the correction) To make it even worse,
it doesn't turn on the clipboard in Word. Only in Outlook!
There IS an explanation of the clipboard options in the help file - i.e. what does
do not show automatically do, etc - but it is not too clear and besides, none of
them affect ViaVoice turning the damn thing on each time.
So, I am combing the web looking for how to disable the thing, entirely. If you
- or anyone else - comes across it, please let me know.
