I have just had the same problem erupt on my computer. I uninstall Nortons Systemworks
2002 several weeks ago because it was conflicting with another program I needed.
Then yesterday my computer just went tits up. It boots with several system.ini message
referring to Nortons and then ends with the cshook.vxd. The first time thru it shuts
down then the second it loads into safe mode only.
Is this the same error that everyone else is observing? It is very frustrating
especially when I needed the comp and it wasn't working. I have printed the other
workarounds posted, but are there any newer ones I need to look at?
Thanks in Advance
