This is an old thread and you would be better to post a new message as many may not 
see your question.  The motherboard chipset is permanently mounted on the motherboard 
so you don't remove it (easily).  The thread you are in was talking about removing 
and reinstalling the software drives for the chipset.  Before doing that, you should 
explain more of your problem as it may not be the chipset drivers.
