Thank you for your suggestions, but I think I'm going to just stay as far away from both Symantec and McAfee as I can. Neither offers any support worth spit, and uninstalling Norton components is apparently a larger issue than I thought. You can call for support for $30 a call and just get told that your version is no longer supported! I now use ZoneAlarm free firewall and have more and better support than Norton ever offered. And I just installed Trend-Micro's PC-cillin 2003 antivirus, and they've responded almost scarily fast to each e-mail question I've sent! JCM
