It's quicker that way. IE5.5 does NOT have sufficient security against hackers these days and, like me, you will find that an ADSL connection leaves you VERY vulnerable to hackers and SpyWare! Be warned! I use IE6.0 with NO problem on ME ... AND ... '98se. Now that support has dropped for 5.5 time for 6.0! Download the IE6.0 SP 1 Installer from the MAIN WINDOWS DOWNLOAD site MS DOWNLOADS Then use IEradicator to remove IE completely from your system and re-install after running scandisk & and defrag. Then fully update your system at the Windows Up-Date site for ALL system-critical and security up-dates: Windows Update I use Norton Utilities and NIS but I also find that this program is a BIG-HELP and it's called BIG-FIX.COM For the general SpyWare problem try this lot.
