You should definitely keep backups of address book mail and favorites anyway. I burn
those I want to keep to a CD-RW which can then be up-dated.
When MS drops support for software there is usually a good reason .......
Your ISP should check out your line and, possibly, you should check the consistency
of your power supply and as to whether you have any unsupressed electrical equipment,
refrigerator or other, which may cause a spike affecting your computer.
You MUST also use a firewall. Zone Alarm is free, and so is AVG Grisoft Anti-Virus.
