You downloaded something called "ytunnel" and now your applications don't work? I
did a quick 'net search on google... YTunnel = that Yahoo companion thing? Seems
like a file-sharing component.

I read a bit about it, but it's not clear how you can lose files that way... unless
you caught a virus by accepting a file from someone. Can you name what applications
you lost? And, by "lost" I assume they "don't work like before". Good thing you're
still able to get on the internet and write to this place though... doesn't seem
like your browser is hosed.

If you're new to computers, it's going to be a bit tough explaining. Basically, what
you do is run an anti-virus program to see if there's a virus in your computer. If
there is one, next step get rid of it. After that you 'repair' your applications...
which usually means reinstalling them. Your data should be safe, though. Reinstalling
doesn't touch your data.

Like Malcolm Fowler said... please try to add some more detail. Like, "when I click
on Excel, windows says 'an assertion error occured'... or, "when I try to save my
letters in Word, a 'illegal operation' error box appears".

By the way... why use YTunnel? I'm assuming someone else told you to install that.
In my experience, people who aren't familiar with computers usually don't install
stuff like that unless someone told them to.
