If you are going to remove your monitor and videocard, be sure to start up in safe mode!

Remember to start in safemode (Press F8 when you see "Starting Windows") and select
"Safe mode"
If you don't, you run the risk of your display not updating, then you are forced
to reboot your machine without shutting down, thus possibly not saving the changes
you just made.
