I also wanted to thank you for this. I am a technical support rep and had never seen
this. I had a machine that I was working on that had been stolen and returned in
somewhat less than perfect condition. It was getting a fatal error at bootup. After
troubleshooting that, I got the explorer/kernel32.dll error. I was ready to try the
pwl file route until I saw your post. This fixed it first thing. I will certainly
remember this trick. :) Thanks again.
