Problem with DVD player Thursday, June 12, 2003 at 5:08 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by mark (1036 messages posted) After uninstalling and reinstalling the DVD program(Encore DXR3)as well as downloading the newest drivers(as instructed by the techs at creative.com)I still get an error message saying "This program fails to detect the presence of a CD ROMdrive or DVDROM drive. Please check that the CD ROM or DVDROM drive is connected properly to the system." The non DVD CD's I've inserted in the drive(like Windows 98SE) work fine. So what is the problem and what to do?
