I feel for you Matt. If the system was up and running long enough to save a Registry
backup, you may be able to get back to where you were before the motherboard drivers
were installed. Try a Registry restore and if it works, check into the possibility
of having the wrong CD/drivers that you installed.
  • Boot, press and hold the 'CTRL' key to enter the boot menu. Select the 'COMMAND PROMPT ONLY' option and press enter.
  • At the C:\> prompt, type 'SCANREG /RESTORE' and press enter.
  • When the screen appears select a backup dated before this problem occurred. Finish out the backup process and then reboot.
