Rhetorically speaking, why do people give a damn about their privacy. Primarily,
if you don't do anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about, especially
in terms of social interaction. Furthermore, if you are doing something ethically
wrong in a logical, but moreso reasonable sense, then you deserve to have your actions
exposed. That's one of the greatest follies of modern liberalistic views. People
can, and thus are willing, to get away with just about anything they desire, short
from blatantly insulting the legal system.
To put this all into context, say for example that Microsoft does scan your computer
to see what kind of hardware you're using. Say they do compile huge databases of
information linked to your personal profiles stored in government records. Who gives
a $hit. They can't legitimately use it against you without justified cause to do
so, and if they somehow did, the public scrutiny would prompty put an end to the
corruption. Granted, this is rather idealistic, but hey, if we can do something better,
why the h3ll not! Just another step away from our suicidal disposable society.
