MSConfig is not the do-all and end-all of solutions. I can say with certainty that MSConfig didn't solve this problem for me, but the registry mod mentioned above certainly did. The Startup tab of MSConfig will give you quick access to quite a few things (the Run and RunServices registry entries, for example), but if your problem isn't coming from there, MSConfig does nothing for you.
