oh thank the gods... i don't have any idea if the author of this original post ever checks back here or not, but i just wanted to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! i was online with gateway tech support for over half an hour and they couldn't fix it, and then i called and was on for ANOTHER half an hour... while i was on hold i stumbled across this post and thought, what the frell, i might as well try it! and sure as shit it worked!!! i'm soooo happy, and i hung up on tech support... lol... thanks again! thanks a MILLION TIMES OVER!!! Be Well, Malea...
