Thanks JmC and Carl! Your tips led me to believe my solitaire problem was due to
a program at startup due to something done when an installer hooked me up to broadband
cable. I finally solved the problem by going to startup, run and running the MSconfig
command. I found three new programs under startup added by Adelphia.net installer.
I unchecked all three one by one and tested my cable connection before rebooting.
The last one referred to as "Motive SmartBridge" which activated a file "MotiveSB.exe"
was the culprit. My cable connection still works OK. Unless I notice some problem
I plan to leave them out of my start up menu so I can play the old Solitaire.
