Good morning everyone. Like other posters here, I had the same problem using my DSL over LAN. I could connect to the internet but could not access some sites (i.e. Microsoft, Amazon, search pages, etc). Also, I could not send attachments in my Outlook emails. Plain text emails are fine except for large size emails. Finally found what was wrong with my system. My ISP was right, It was my system taht was causing the errors. BTW, my system was: client: Win NT SP6 256 ram PIII 1.2 server: Server 2003 PIV 2.0 512 ram gateway: Win 98 PII 1.0 64 ram Wingate 4 (firewall/proxy) The culprit was Wingate 4.0, when I removed it, the gateway computer was able to connect to the internet and email. But I needed some firewall and proxy software to share my DSL connection. I downloaded the following: FreeProxy - proxy ZoneAlarm - firewall Now everything works fine. It is a bit of a hassle though to run 2 softwares instead of 1 (Wingate) so I am still looking for an alternative for Wingate (proxy & firewall in one) preferably free. Thanks.
