Java applet locks up PC when trying to play games Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 11:55 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Corey (3 messages posted) I have a win98 pc that recently locks up whenever I try to play Java based games (pogo.com, msn, yahoo). Per pogo I have removed microsoft's version and put sun's on there. The pc would not lock up, but would just say loading. After removing sun's and replacing microsoft's version, again, same lock up results. Also, whenever this lock up takes place, I manually reboot, yet my router cannot make a connection with my dsl modem. I have to power cycle the router and the modem for it to work again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been at this for days. Thanks.
