win98 startup floppy problem Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 2:40 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Blaine (5 messages posted) Trying desperately to reformat and reinstall win98. Have to, as have a program I can only run on win98 that I can't lose. (Yeah, I know..it's stupid. I have a laptop w/ XP that I use for almost everything.) Creating a startup disk, it stalls out at 97% and I get a file copy error message that says "Setup detected an error while reading C:\WINEBD2.400\EBD\EBD.CAB." Anybody have any idea? I'll dance at your wedding if you can help.
