In addition to JmC's suggestion, with great caution you might like to try disabling
your antivirus software before installing software. (Of course, RUN A VIRUS SCAN
ON THE NEW SOFTWARE PACKAGE FIRST).
Some software will not install or will throw errors if virus scanning is active.
This should not happen, but unfortunately iit does from time to time. Above all
take all precautions before switching off the antivirus software and start it again,
preferably by rebooting, immediately afterwards.
