All of you in this thread do have a point. Last night I checked this forum for some help on the same issue. On my own computer (win 98SE) I was able to edit the msdos.sys as text file. However, on my neighbor's fujitsu lap-top (has a special fujitsu version of Windows 98SE) I was UNABLE to change the attributes (-S -H -R); not even in DOS-mode. So I geuss everyone here is right depending on his own version of windows
