I´m a dedicate reader digest, I´m just read IvanF tips some time ago.

Well...Windows loading time can be really dramatically reduced. My guess is that
80%
of computers with windows and dummie/average user are loading really slow,
and this is not good for people who want time to develop everything in life.

I´ve download bootlog analyser. Guess what? I´ve found bizarre delays (30sec++, even
55sec!)
but I don´t have a deal how to tackle it, although I know registry framework :(

10:09:10 0.00 Init Success hsflop.pdr
10:09:10 8.00 Initing esdi_506.pdr
10:09:18 0.06 Init Success esdi_506.pdr
10:09:18 0.33 Initing esdi_506.pdr
10:09:18 0.22 Init Success esdi_506.pdr (generic IDE disk type)

10:09:21 0.00 Init = TSRQuery (time estimated)
10:09:21 4.67 InitDone = TSRQuery (t. est.)

10:09:26 0.06 Enumerating Default Floppy controller (BIOS\*PNP0700\0C)
10:09:26 18.83 Enumerated Default Floppy controller (BIOS\*PNP0700\0C)

10:09:46 0.00 Init = Display Resources (t. est)
10:09:46 56.33 InitDone =Display Resources (t es)

10:10:43 32.56 Enumerated Microsoft Kernel System Renderer (SW\{A7C7A5B0-5AF3-11D1-9CED-00A024BF0407}\{9B365890-165F-11D0-A195-0020A
10:11:15 0.00 Enumerating Plug and Play software device (ROOT\SWENUM\0000)

10:16:57 51.50 enumerated Microsoft Kernel Audio mixer (SW\{B7EAFDC0-.....\{X.....

I use MVP4 motherboard with default 4in1 drivers and AC97 onboard sound card with
default
driver (and an update one were tested as well).

How could I reduce these delays? How about these enumerating ones? I´ve tried everything,
like turning off plug and play detection, removing almost ALL starting programs in
registry ´run´and ´runonce´.

Also, I removed registry keys, as these KERNEL system renderer and others, e.g. Kernel
BDA filter, Proxy transmission, proxy time and kernel
audio mixer (all related to AC97 function in the south bridge, I think).

I get no sound after one of these things being removed. I don´t know which is the
culprit.

I´ve also found that the default floppy driver in the registry has FLAGS to be set
in hexa. But no manual available :(

Capabilities 14 00 00 00 (maybe configurable)
Class Disk drive
ConfigFlags 00 00 00 00 (maybe configurable)

Any ideas, keys or tips? I would appreciate it a lot!! Everything to reduce my iddle
times on earth. But don´t say - hey, buy a new sound card and remove floppy hardware,
that´s silly :/
