I too have been having vxd errors ....I have done a complete recovery and still I
get them. I can't run any programs(norton, file check, defrag. and so on) because
the puter freezes up and once again I get the vxd errors. I have tried everything
in all the articles I have found and nothing helped. Any test I have been able to
complete on the drivers has come up clean. The only thing I have noticed is that
the vxd files have no driver imformation at all (manufacturer name and so on). I
am totally amazed at all the other complaints I am seeing on the net regarding this
vxd issue in win95 & 98. Is this a flaw??? I am wondering if a patch should be introduced?
So sorry for the babbling but I am at my witts end! Does anyone have any other suggestions
to fix this problem besides all the ones I have tried on the MS knowledge base. Also
my puter will not shut down completely (another consistant problem I have been hearing
about in win98). Could both problems be connected? PLEASE anyone who can help .........
Lesia :)
