The problem is probably not related to ACPI but maybe to programs running in the background. Run msconfig and check out what's listed and checked "on" under Startup. ACPI is an alternative to the old way of setting IRQ's and PNP and having several devices sharing an IRQ is perfectly normal. My SB Live 5.1 card shares its IRQ with 5 devices and plays fine.
