I've read the whole thread and just wanted to add that I think it's pretty impressive
that Jay has managed to network three (four?) different computers, all with different
OS's. I think I'd bang my head on a wall if I tried that.
I have a slightly different question: I have a laptop with wireless internet access
(WinXP) networked to another WinXP computer in Kingston. This was done the easy
way (if you can call it that), with the windows home networking wizard.
I've come home to Toronto and would like to access my sister's network printer from
my laptop. Her computer is Win98 and attached to a wireless router. Although her
printer is set to share print jobs I'm unable to access it. I currently have internet
access through her wireless router.
Question #1: Do I need to network my laptop with her computer?
Quesiton #2: What's the easy way to do it?
Question #3: If we network our computers, does this mean that I can send a print
job to her printer from my laptop Kingston?
Thanks.
