Response 1: To the best of my knowledge, yes.
Response 2: Make sure her computer has the network (not internet) protocol
of your laptop (this I mean as in NetBEUI, Novell Protocol etc. etc.), make sure
she also has Windows Client and File and Printer Sharing.
Also make sure that you are in the same workgroup.
If that is too hard, try your network setup disk.
Question 3: Only if your laptop is connected to the router (it) will it be on the
network.
Make sure her printer is compable with XP.
I haven't printed to a 98 from an XP yet, but the other way around I have.
