If you get alot of pop-ups and redirects you may have it installed. But if you want
to make sure you do, download and run Hijack This, then save the log. Look at the
entries R1, you should see something like this:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.spidersearch.com/frame_results.php
Either way, just download and run the uninstall program, won't do any harm.
You should also have Spybot running on your system, it looks for spy/adware. Just
make sure you update it first before you run it, online/check for updates, then check
for problems/delete selected problems, delete all it finds. Don't forget to hit the
immunize button also, this prevents problems.
Spyware Blaster is another program you should have installed on your system, it prevents
problems.
AVG free is the anti-virus I use with great success.
Update these programs weekly or more.
AVG*free
HiJackThis
SpyBot
SpywareBlaster
Here's a free Pop-up stopper also
PopUpStopper-free
