I upgraded from IE4, didn't have IE5.5. Worked fine until my daughter installed AOL instant messenger. From there I would only get the OE6 logo to come up. Could not get into my e-mail. The logo froze and I would have to C/A/D and it showed Explorer as the problem source. Put this problem on the forum and a nice person answered my SOS by explaining how to backup to an earlier date in the registry. That worked like a charm. Thinking the problem was solved, my daughter once again tried AOL instant messenger and .....you guessed it, the same thing happened once again. Surely there is a way to run all three programs?? I didn't really want to back up to IE4, and I don't have IE5.5. I did search about 30-40 forum pages trying to find a similar problem so I wouldn't have to bug anyone, but couldn't find anything except how IE6 is full of problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
