They install a backdoor trojan and all sorts of junk on systems. It's not only trojanware but a hijacker. Btw, you'll find www.freeaol.com in your Trusted Sites zone, so you may want to cut/paste into Restricted zone or nuke it. That gives them permission to download and install anything on your system, without your knowledge.
