Wireless Adapter Causes PC to Freeze Friday, December 19, 2003 at 12:17 pm Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Diane (3 messages posted) I installed a WG511 wireless pc card to my laptop running Win98SE and it works for a while, then always freezes. I've read that the problem is usually an IRQ conflict, so I checked in device manager which shows no conflict but I noticed that the Netgear and USB both use IRQ 11. Windows won't let me change the IRQ for either one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Will I encounter the same problem if I purchase a different card, such as SMC?
