explorer has performed illegal operation Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at 9:44 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Adam Smith (10 messages posted) a message: explorer has performed illegal operation and needs to be shut down, that there is a fault at 017f:00401f31 . this appers at the startup screen after i do or do not enter my network password and after it goes through the bootup screen. if i click close then the screen stays black and windows or anything will not continue to load.
