well...u guys know the problem..my friend got the "windows protection error" after downloading directx; When she got the error, i told her to go to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;188867 and follow the steps under "Windows 98 Starts in Safe Mode." somehow she messed up and now her computer wouldnt even turn on.. >.< Does anyone know what the problem is, how to fix it, whether the hard drive needs to be replaced, etc. Thanks much!
