I need your help so solve a “mystery” related to a reoccurring connection problem of 2 computers, connected with direct cable (Ethernet cards) via Network Neighborhood. At times, they don’t recognize each other. This occurs mostly on “start up” of one of the 2 computers. The Network N. does not show the connection with each other. The network is configured as follows: Client Microsoft Dial Up Adapter Fast Ethernet NIC Net Beui Dial Up Adapter Net Beui Fast Ethernet NIC TCP/IP Dial up Adapter TCP/IP Fast Ethernet NIC File and printer sharing for Micr. Networks Note: both computers are using the same Network Configuration (on a quick logon option). So far I have been using the refresher method of the Network adapters listed under the Device Manager but this does not work all the time and I’m forced to shut down both computers and pray that they will recognize again on a new start up! I don’t have a great knowledge and expertise and this has been the only way to have them working. But it’s frustrating and I hope somebody will be kind enough to offer me a better solution for this mystery. Thanks to all of you for your help. Samantha D.>>
