If the icon does not appear, here are two places to checkmark... MY COMPUTER|DIAL-UP-NETWORKING|CONNECTION|SETTINGS... Checkmark the 'show an icon on taskbar after connection' box. MY COMP|DIAL-UP|NET| Then right-click the CONNECTOID for your ISP and choose PROPERTIES. Click the CONFIGURE box, then the OPTION tab. 'Show modem status' should be checkmarked.
