Shutting down your computer when it is going to be idle for many hours or days is
fine, so that will not bother the battery. Here is what I suggest you do:... 1.
Check the monitor cable to make certain it is connected properly.....2. Check your
monitor settings to see if anything comes up.....3. When you Boot/Start, are there
any beeps beyond one beep? If so, check your Motherboard booklet to see what the
BIOS beeps relate to since that will tell you where the problem lies.... 4. If there
are beeps, then your Video Card, CPU or Motherboard could be bad.... 5. If no beeps,
no DLED's on the back of the case with red and green colors, and nothing on the monitor,
then either your CPU or Motherboard are defective. Replacing the CPU first makes
more since than having to gut the machine to replace the Motherboard and all of its
components, providing either of the two are the root of the problem.
