monitor auto shut-off Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 11:27 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Agent E-45 (4 messages posted) Howdy, I have a Hansol 701A monitor, which is Energy Star Compliant. Basically, I never want my monitor shutting off, including when the computer is shut off. If I want the monitor off, I'll hit the power button. When the computer starts up I miss some things on the screen because the monitor has to leave it's "auto power-down" mode or whatever. By the time the monitor is nice and turned on, some things that flash by the screen are gone. Is this something that is hard-wired into the monitor itself that can't be altered? I have messed around with my BIOS power settings already with no luck. Thanks.
