Thanks Howie for answering. IMO XP sucks big time. Been running W98 since early 99.
Have had maybe 5 crash's, all because of something I did wrong. The XP I have had
but 6 months has been nothing but trouble. Software doesn't work half the time or
you have to upgrade or buy new printers/scanners etc.
I know Microsoft stops support for W98 on Jan 16 (?) but hey I have never went to
them for support anyway. All they say is "put in" your CD. When you say, you did
not get one with your New PC they say sorry we can't help you without a CD. Why pay
"long distances" charges to be told they "can't or want" help you.
I figure with a new install of W98 it will last a two years or more before I start
having problems.
I will think about dual drives but that sounds like I would be asking for big trouble.
