I have the same problem, but have had no luck in finding out what the problem is. My homepage had been hijacked the other day and I figure this is probably related. However, I was able to fix the homepage issue with CW Shredder and Spybot. I was told by someone to restore and older version of my registry, but this did not work for me. Maybe it will work for you?? I'll reply back if I find a fix.
