Just make sure you have all the necessary hardware drivers and it should go fine. 
Depending on the manufacturer of the motherboard, you may get all the drivers for 
all the operating systems. Otherwise just download them and put them on another drive 
or CD.

I also have seen where XP does not perform as well for everyone and is certainly 
a lot more complicated.
