I'm having the same trouble as Claudine where desktop icons and the taskbar do not
appear at startup in Win98SE. The problem seems to be with explorer which causes
a fault in browseui.dll. I've replaced explorer from the Win98SE CD but it didn't
make any difference. Claudine solved her problem by re installing Win98SE. I would
do this only I have two Operating Systems ie Win98SE and WinXP. I cannot reinstall
Win98 without reinstalling WinXP first (something to do with the boot). Has anybody
got any information that could help me because the thought of losing all my files
on XP and 98SE is awful. I don't have the problem of accessing Drive C (Win98SE)
because I can do quite a bit through XP.
I've tried fiddling with the ShellIconCache without result. I hope somebody can help
me.
