Since you can see your applications without any problem when using Safe Mode, this is a good indication that there is a start-up item that is causing a conflict. Try this before reinstalling Windows again. ___ From Start, select Run, type MSCONFIG. Go to the Startup tab and deselect everything that is not needed. The following site has a list of what each startup item is and if it is needed ____ http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php _____ You may need to repeat unchecking items several times in order to find what is causing the problem, but, this is better than having to reinstall Windows.
