'Get Rid of the Logon Screen'

On my Dell laptop, I had changed the user name and password. I hadn't used it for
a few weeks and now it won't let me logon and has a "s1" user name. Is there any
way to get by this so I can use my laptop? My OS is XP Pro if it makes a difference.
