"matcli" installed with my HP printer too, it sure is a popular annoyance. Thanks
to the tips, i uninstalled "HP Direct Support" in the control panel "Add/Remove Programs",
it uninstalled without a hitch, no more matcli. Thanks
AnaK, hope you've solved the crash probs, as far as i know you've got to get up
at least in "safe" mode then uninstall "HP Direct Support". BTW, matcli caused no
probs on this box, just took 10 seconds longer to boot.
