There was a message on TweakDUN causing the problem. I had used that program too.
My laptop WinXP Home Version would download large files very fast, and my Win98 Desktop
was very slow. So I re-downloaded TweakDUN 3.0. When I ran the program, I had to
do it two or three times. I did set RWIN in registry to 8192 as another person had
written. That alone did not do anything for me. Then I set the MaxMTU to auto. And
that did the trick after desktop was rebooted. I noticed upon looking at TweakDUN
again (not running the program again) that it set RWIN to Windows Default, but I
notice that it still is at 8192. So the TweakDUN program caused my problem, but it
was able to fix it too. Use caution with it as far as file transfers go. Bob T.
