If anyone sees this response, I'm letting all my fellow frustrated windows media
player users know that to easily eliminate the history of played files, all you need
to do is go to the tools menu then select options. From there click on the privacy
tab and uncheck the box that indicates that played file history is on. Once that
is done click on the "clear history button" then click "apply" and finally click
"ok" You will no longer have played files filling up the file drop down menu. I hope
I explained this well as I know how frustrating it can be, and before I fell upon
this solution (which by the way I found on my own) I felt like pulling my hair out,
keep the hair on your head, this is the solution!
