You can do it this way. Start, Run, type in winfile, hit the Enter key and when the file opens click on File on the toolbar and choose Associate. When the windows opens type bmp in the box. You can then associate it with MSPaint. You may have to browse for it if it isn't listed. This application is left over from 95 and I wish they still had it in XP.
