re: Outlook Express 6 Slow to Load Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 12:20 am Windows 98 Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by CapYoda (1 messages posted) this may be years later. but I've just encounter the problem and although the solutions will work, for those that disable messenger in windows, this would be a problem too. you can click on RUN and type: ( RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove ) which will remove messenger, which is tied to outlook, and outlook will load up a lot faster without having to reinstall IE and its components.
