To completely remove the shortcut arrow, open Internet Options/Programs tab and uncheck
"Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser" Then delete
Isshortcut from the following three registry keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut
Regedits alone will eliminate arrows on next boot, but if IE checks if it's default,
it loads another Isshortcut in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\InternetShortcut
