ICS has issues with PPPOEA protocol increasingly been used by various DSL providers. You should keep trying with lower and lower values of MTU until your ping is successful. For me it worked at 1272. Read this article form more - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;319661 One confusing thing in this article is that it talks about changing MTU For the network connection that has an IP address of 192.168...But keep in mind that you are changing this on ICS client. And on Client, the TCPIP adapter is configured to "OBTAIN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY". So there won't be any IP addresses visible. So basically don't be confused. Just go to your client, find your network connection ...then find the adapter ID as per the instructions in the article and change / add the MTU value. Exit the registry editor and REBOOT. I have a verizon DSL connection using westell 2200 dual connect modem. My ICS host is connected to the modem thru a USB port and my ICS host is connected to my ICS client thru the PCI ethernet card. Peer to Peer network with a perfectly working ICS. :-) HTH
