It has a bit of a learning curve to set up the tool bars, and such. I was a die hard IE user also, then I got a load of bad Malware doing what I considered safe surfing about 3 months back, and every family member and web surfing friend started having same problems. I am use to Firefox now, and 3 people who asked me for help many times on Hijacked computers I convinced to use Firefox also. All 3 of them have not had the computer Hijacked since they stopped using IE, a couple months now. So I'm pretty convinced not using IE is the reason.
